Effect of vibration test on compressor quality control

vibration Test is an important means to evaluate the mechanical integrity, operation stability and long-term reliability of the compressor. By simulating the dynamic load under actual working conditions, potential risks such as structural resonance, bearing anomaly and rotor imbalance can be identified.

Core International and industry standards

  • API 618: it is suitable for reciprocating compressor, and specifies the vibration limit, measurement position, data acquisition method and accept criteria. It emphasizes the vibration response analysis of crankshaft, connecting rod and cylinder assembly.
  • API 619: for rotary compressor (such as screw and centrifugal), clarify the grading limit of shaft vibration (displacement/speed), Shell vibration (acceleration) and on-site test process.
  • ISO 10816: The general mechanical vibration evaluation standard divides the vibration intensity level according to the equipment type, rotating speed and installation method, providing reference comparison basis for the compressor.

Key points of test implementation

the vibration test should be carried out under rated working conditions and key variable load points, and the sensor should be installed in the rigid area of the bearing seat or casing; The data sampling frequency should not be less than 2.5 times of the highest signal frequency, both time domain and frequency domain analysis are emphasized. The report shall include vibration amplitude, dominant frequency components and trend comparison.
