Environmental Requirements for the Air Compressor Room

  • Ventilation and Heat DissipationThe equipment room shall maintain adequate ventilation and be equipped with the necessary exhaust systems to prevent heat buildup from equipment operation, which could lead to high-temperature shutdowns.
  • Temperature and humidity controlIndoor temperature should be maintained within the equipment’s specified operating range to avoid excessively high or low conditions; ambient humidity should be kept at an appropriate level to prevent moisture damage to electrical components or internal condensation.
  • Cleaning and Dust PreventionMaintain the cleanliness of the data center floor and equipment surfaces, and regularly remove dust. Excessive airborne particulates can accelerate filter clogging and mechanical wear.
  • Spatial layoutSufficient operating and maintenance space shall be provided around the equipment; typically, a safe clearance distance must be maintained between the equipment and walls or other adjacent equipment.

Equipment Safety Operating Procedures

Strict adherence to operating procedures is essential for preventing safety incidents and extending equipment life. Operators must undergo specialized training and thoroughly understand the equipment’s characteristics.

Pre-Startup Inspection

  • Check that the lubricating oil level is within the normal range.
  • Confirm that the cooling system valves are open and that the water pressure and temperature are within normal limits (for water-cooled equipment).
  • Inspect all connection points for looseness and the piping for any signs of leakage.
  • Confirm that the exhaust valve is in the correct open or closed position.

In-Operation Monitoring

After the equipment is started, closely monitor all parameters displayed on the control panel. Pay particular attention to discharge pressure, discharge temperature, motor current, and operating noise. If any abnormal vibration, unusual odor, or parameter exceedances are detected, immediately press the emergency stop button and investigate the cause.

Normal Shutdown Procedure

When shutting down, first allow the equipment to run unloaded for a period to let its temperature drop naturally, then disconnect the power. It is strictly prohibited to shut down the equipment directly under load to avoid damage.

Daily Maintenance and Care Standards

  • Lubricant ManagementRegularly sample and analyze the lubricant’s condition, replace it with the specified grade at prescribed intervals, and strictly prohibit the mixing of lubricants from different brands or grades.
  • Cooling system cleaningRegularly clean the radiator fins of air-cooled equipment or flush the coolers of water-cooled equipment to ensure optimal heat exchange efficiency.
  • Safety Valve and Instrument Calibration: Regularly calibrate safety valves, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors to ensure their reliable operation and accurate readings.

Emergency Response and Safety Management

Compressor roomIt is designated as a key security area and must establish sound safety management systems and emergency response plans.

  • Fire protection facilitiesThe computer room shall be equipped with an adequate number of effective fire extinguishers, and the storage of flammable and explosive materials is strictly prohibited. Prominent no‑fire signs must be posted.
  • Exception HandlingIn the event of emergencies such as sudden power outages, water leaks, or oil spills, operators shall promptly shut off the main power and gas supplies and report the incident to the equipment management department.
  • Warning signClear safety warning signs shall be installed at high-temperature equipment components, high-pressure pipelines, and rotating parts to prevent accidental contact and injury.
