Common Filter Cartridge Types and Replacement Guidelines

  • Air filter element: Primarily responsible for filtering the air entering the system. If the operating environment contains high levels of dust, has elevated humidity, or exhibits increasing intake resistance, the inspection interval should be shortened.
  • Oil filter element: Used to filter impurities from lubricating oil. Replacement is typically determined in conjunction with the oil‑change interval, changes in oil quality, and the equipment’s operating condition.
