In humid weather, the water release of the compressed air system should be strengthened. The core reason is that the water content of the ambient air rises sharply, which will make the condensate in the system generate much faster than daily. If it is not discharged in time, it will cause multiple hazards.
Avoid equipment damage: water will emulsify the lubricating oil of the air compressor and lose the lubricating effect. In severe cases, it will directly burn the head, and it will also cause corrosion of metal parts such as pipes and valve bodies, which will greatly shorten the life of the equipment.
Ensure the quality of gas: residual moisture will enter the back-end gas equipment with the air flow, affecting the accuracy of pneumatic components, and may also lead to product defects in spraying, food processing and other processes, resulting in batch scrap losses.
Maintain system stability: Accumulation of water will block the pipeline, reduce the efficiency of oil and gas separation, cause abnormal pressure difference, and even cause system pressure instability, increasing the probability of failure and shutdown.
Under daily working conditions, the air storage tank shall be drained no less than 4 times per shift. In wet weather, the frequency shall be flexibly increased according to the actual drainage volume, and automatic drainage device can also be used to avoid manual forgetting.
